How does it work?

As a seller, you bring the car to us. Together we discuss the car and look at the expected return. We gladly receive as much documentation as possible, such as photos of any restoration or overhaul. Here the rule applies: the more, the better. It's also helpful if there is a maintenance history available, as well as information about previous owners and how long they have owned the car.

Please keep in mind that this is an auction subject to allocation, meaning the car is only allocated after your approval. The car will therefore never be sold without your final approval after the auction ends.

After that, we take care of everything for you with our temporary all-in auction action of € 299,- incl. VAT. This amount includes the professional photography of the car, placement on our platform, and additional promotion. Your car will be actively brought to the attention of a wide audience, both on domestic and international platforms. The more visibility, the greater the chance of more bidders and optimal returns. This all-in action is temporary and designed to relieve you of maximum stress without decision-making pressure. Of course, we are happy to explain the approach further personally.

Online veiling & gunning

Once we have collected all the necessary documents, the auction goes online at a prearranged time. If applicable, the car is then advertised on the chosen platforms to get the extra attention it deserves. After about three weeks, the auction ends and the final price is determined. As soon as the highest bid is known, we discuss it with you to see if the bid is acceptable. After your final approval, the car is allocated and sold.

Once the buyer has paid you in full for the car and we have invoiced and received the auction fees, the buyer will receive the necessary codes to arrange the transfer of ownership. Only after the transfer is completed can the buyer pick up the car from us by appointment. Your car is therefore never delivered before it is fully paid for.

As a seller on our auction platform, you naturally want to know how everything works. Here we answer the most frequently asked questions so that you can offer your vehicle with confidence.

Sales Process

An auction usually remains open for about three weeks after mutual agreement. If a bid is placed in the last two minutes of the auction, the end time is automatically extended by two minutes. This continues as long as new bids are made. The highest bid is always binding.

Next Auctions offers the option to view auctioned vehicles by appointment. Therefore, it is important that there is a location where the lot can be inspected. Whether the vehicle has a foreign license plate is irrelevant in this regard.

The more detailed, the better. All relevant information about the vehicle – such as history, number and/or previous owners, and recent maintenance – helps provide a clear picture. Next Auctions will process the information provided carefully but cannot be held responsible for errors, inaccuracies, or missing information. You remain ultimately responsible as the seller. We can clearly discuss what is important for your lot during a conversation.

No, absolutely not. This is strictly forbidden. Asking others to do so is also not allowed. We monitor the bidding patterns of all bidders. If fraud is suspected, the auction will be terminated. This ensures fairness for everyone. If it later turns out that you are the highest bidder yourself, Next Auctions will charge you the usual commission.

No, once the auction for your lot has started, you can no longer withdraw it. It is also not allowed to offer or sell the item elsewhere while the auction is running. If you do so, compensation will apply, depending on the value of the lot.

When the auction ends and the minimum amount has not been reached, we will inform you. You can then decide to sell the lot to the highest bidder anyway. You have 24 hours to make this decision. If you still find the highest bid too low, we can try to negotiate a deal with the highest bidder.
